ADMA TranS4MErs to turn 1000 SMEs into factories of the future

The second ADMA TranS4MErs (Advanced Manufacturing assistance and training for SME Transformation) call has been launched. It aims to support SMEs in the digital transformation journey and help them become next-generation companies. With the support of a network of qualified SME consultants, namely the “Trans4MErs, the initiative aims to turn 1,000 manufacturing SMEs into “factories of the future”.

The project, funded through Horizon 2020 funds, is coordinated by Irish Manufacturing Research (IMR) and brings together 38 partners from 27 EU Member States.

ORIGINS OF ADMA TRANS4MERS

The ADMA TranS4Mers builds on ADMA (European ADvanced MAnufacturing Support Center), an “Interreg North Sea Region” project launched in 2018 with the main goal of creating a sustainable and forward-looking European manufacturing industry. The ADMA project set out to help and train SMEs in advanced manufacturing and digitisation processes.

During its three-year span, the project has supported more than 100 SMEs in 12 European countries in adopting advanced production solutions and social innovation strategies to become next-generation factories with more competitive, technologically advanced and sustainable productions.

The Call offers vouchers to EU SMEs engaging in advanced manufacturing sectors to implement customised digital transformation plans. Italy can rely on 55 vouchers.
